The Canyons section from Volcano Creek to Swinging bridge is located on National Forest lands. With approval from US Forest Service, we have temporary special use permits that allow us to run this famous section of the Western States Trail.. Please respect all rules and regulations that apply and PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT, NO LITTERING!
We are happy to have Sierra Film Studios to capture the unforgettable images on course and throughout the weekend in a short film.
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. It is very expensive and time consuming to organize and produce a trail running event. Most costs (swag, insurance, application and permit fees, emergency services, preparation time, etc.) have been incurred well in advance. Even a small percentage of runners requesting refunds or transfers would be prohibitive.
The Canyons Endurance Runs is committed to protecting the sport of ultra running as a fair and honest endeavor that challenges individuals in a drug-free environment that keeps the playing field level for all. Though we have strong personal feelings about potential life time bans for previous offenders, we realize that until we have a true governing body for our sport, we currently accept WADA regulations with regards to potential entrants to our events. The Canyons reserves the right to disallow or disqualify any runner based off of proven use of any banned substance or proven blood doping.
